Downloads Make Up 5% Of New Super Mario Bros. 2 Sales In Japan
August 17, 2012 - It's no secret that the world is going the way of digital distribution. And with Nintendo looking to create a online distribution service on par with Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network, has been offering full-pledge titles for digital distribution.
The most recent of which is New Super Mario Bros. 2, which has had 5% of its total sales come from digital distribution. While this number is relatively small, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is very pleased with the figure considering the game was released on July 28th. "This initial offering going forward, we've gotten a good reaction going," he said.
